Refrigeration double oil filters (also called duplex oil filters) are specialized filtration units used in industrial refrigeration systems—especially those with ammonia (NH₃) or CO₂—to continuously remove impurities from the compressor oil while allowing uninterrupted operation during filter maintenance or replacement.
A double oil filter has two parallel filter housings connected by a changeover valve or three-way valve. This setup allows the system to switch between filters without shutting down the refrigeration system.
