The AURA EXD is an automatic switchover system engineered to deliver a continuous supply of high-purity gases at inlet pressures up to 4500 psig. Equipped with an integral EX1 line regulator, the EXD ensures stable and consistent outlet pressures even under demanding conditions.
At the heart of the EXD is AURA’s encapsulated seat design, which consolidates multiple moving components into a single unit. This innovation simplifies maintenance, reduces potential failure points, and enhances long-term reliability. The seat is protected by a 10-micron, 360° filter, providing superior particle filtration compared to standard pressed-in disks. Unlike traditional regulators that filter only at the pipeline port, the EXD safeguards against damaging contaminants from all inlet ports.
AURA’s precision machining process produces ultra-smooth surface finishes of 4–25 Ra, minimizing corrosion and extending service life. Optional inlet purge or shutoff valve assemblies reduce the number of required connections, lowering potential leak paths and internal volume. Combined with its minimal internal volume, the EXD reduces purge gas requirements for greater efficiency.
Each EXD regulator is assembled in a Class 100 cleanroom, and the complete system is fully cleaned for oxygen service and 100% helium leak tested. Every unit undergoes rigorous flow and function testing to guarantee durability, purity, and reliability in even the harshest environments.
